It's amazing what you can find if you look in the right place 😊

I've contacted the Australian agent and apparently the exhaust is no longer available from Evektor. It has to be made to order but that will surely be months away. I can do that but I'm only replacing one pipe so it could be a short term fix.

I like the look of the Toucan exhaust because it stays away from the cooling system but I don't think it supplies hot air for the carby heat so then my next preference is for the SS system from Aeroweld. I'm sure it's going to clash with the radiator and or hose but my options are limited without spending over $4000.

I might get away with the Aeroweld system and some careful cooling system plumbing and maybe move the radiator slightly right. Hopefully it won't clash with the oil cooler.

I also have an Evektor, and I encountered the same problem: I simply went to see a welder with a good bottle of wine and in 15 minutes the hose was meticulously re-welded, it has worked for several years...

    Philip,

You could try writing to the Evaktor factory, seeking their authorisation of an alternative exhaust system/supplier.

You may have to nominate one/two potentials that you know will fit & are readily available in Australia (suggest Rotax OM & AeroWeld).

With luck ( the offer of a bottle of wine 😁) they may write back with an authorisation that can then be shown to RAA for their records/approval😈.
