Re: 912 ULS cut-off on landing roll

It’s the idle stop screw plate on the outside of the carb. It’s what the idle stop screw rest on. Pull hard enough on the throttle inside the cockpit which isn’t that hard and it bends it downward allowing the idle to drop lower and even shutting down the carb far enough to stop the engine. A cable stop put in place against the Bowden cable adjuster after the carb sync is done will prevent that.

Roger, my carbs are now in sync. I think the throttle stops installation is by un-attaching the cable and sliping the stops over the cable and re-attaching, right? So then I would have to re-sync? OR Is there a cable stop that is half-cut that goes on the cable without un-attaching?
Thanks for the help,
Wallace

Hi Wallace,
I only know of the ones where you’d have to disconnect the cable and slide it on. You will have to re-sync the carbs, but take a black magic marker and put a mark on the cable on each side of the screw that holds the cable in place.. Then you’ll be very close to where it was before you removed it. Then the re-sync will be quick and easy.
