    Roger,

Just learned something about my propeller. It is three bladed warp drive 60 in. I made a phone call to manufacture and they tell me that this size of propeller typically too small for 100 hp engine.
That is an explanation for my 18° pitch.
But I don't have any complains about its performance. Can I keep it and fly this way??

    Thank you

    Hi Eugene,

I fully agree that a 60" Warp is too small. You are definitely losing performance. If you increased that to 66"-68" you would see a big improvement.
At one time I had a 66" Warp on my plane. Then I did a large research project for a couple companies with 14 different props. The Warp was equal in cruise performance, but suffered from all others in climb and if you add in a 6" difference it would be a major difference.

Personally I would consider going up to a Warp 66"-68" with NO nickel edges. If you want more leading edge protect use the tape.

If you really want to make a change then move away from the Warp to something like a Sensenich or one of the other Mfg's.

    Roger,

What kind of performance I am losing? Takeoff performance?

    Flying straight and level?

I am very happy with everything, but I have next to nothing as far as experience goes.

I cannot get bigger propeller, because I have pusher airplane and propeller blades Will cut my own tail off.
I guess my only option is to go for 4 blades.

Warp drive guy on the phone mention that about 20° pitch on the propeller needed to go 170 miles an hour.

Can I just keep it this way. Is it bad? After all my WOT @ 4000ft is 5560 rpm and I am not looking for short field performance at all.

To me, looks like I have cruise propeller, that's all.

    thank you

It would have better performance, but evidently you have a physical limitation and it's working so if you can't change it don't fret and leave it alone. Your WOT rpm is just fine.
    4 blades won't help you.

Is the Warp the factory prop? Is the an ELSA or SLSA? How much distance between the tail boom and prop tip now?

It is ELSA and only 1 3/4" clearance
