Interpreting BUDS fault logs

The ECU has 2 clocks.
The Engine Timer records the time that the engine is running.
The ECU Timer records the time that the Lanes are powered.
It is not unusual for the ECU timer to be dozens of hours ahead of the Engine (Hobbs) Timer.

Operating without a sensor connected will indeed cause repeated faults to be recorded.
I will assume the Lane lights were flashing at the same time.

Bill, thanks as ever for the helpful reply. It was a while ago and from memory I didn’t actually start the engine but sorted the problem before trying again. 

I assume that there are occasional glitches and as long as a fault or failure isn’t either recent or persistent then there isn’t much to worry about.
