I'm a little confused whether the propeller shaft SB applies

My 2021 912iS serial is 7705nnn, for reference. I'm assuming serial numbers are sequential within batches, with large chunks of numbers skipped.

They've recently changed the numbers for the engines. It confused the hell out of me when the last two we had were 10000XXX. Unfortunately one of them is affected ? Brand new engine and only test flown yesterday, so REALLY annoying to have the SB imposed.

Wow, so this SB is affecting relatively new engines and they're low serial numbers because they changed the numbering convention and suddenly started using 10000XXX and didn't use that from the start of production? What was the manufacture date of your engine that is affected by the SB? 

Your 2013 engine is in the 4 million range,
My 2021 engine is in the 7 million range,
Paul's brand new engine, and those in the SB, are in the 10 million range.

I'm not sure where the confusion is coming from.

You’re right! I guess the confusion was in not understanding that Rotax skips several million numbers between batches. I was reading it wrong and thinking that my engine serial starting with a 4 must be higher than the ones in the SB starting with a 1, but I see now that’s because Rotax has added another digit.
