I have a three bladed Warp Drive composite propeller. It is attached in a "pusher" configuration on a Rotax 582, on a Quicksilver Sport 2S.

I also have the Warp Drive installation and adjusting instructions.

The clamping bolts (the four bolts that hold the blade in the hub) are installed from the rear...so that the lock nuts are on the forward side of the prop, between the hub and the gear box.

There isn't enough space to get a torque wrench on the nut. Can I use the torque wrench on the bolt instead of the nut? Can I install the bolts in the opposite direction so that the nuts are in the clear behind the prop?

The Warp Drive instructions do not specify any particular direction to install the bolts. I have left them voice mails and emails but haven't heard back yet.

I thought I would get some opinion here while I'm waiting for them.

Opinions?

Thanks,
Mike

    Hi Mike,
Yes the bolts can be reversed. You can and maybe should buy a set of crowsfoot wrench ends. These work well in hard to reach areas. You can get them online or at Sears.
