New carb socket fits loose

Are those clamp spacers 7mm or 8mm wide?

This is an SLSA. That would be a modification. If this were experimental, I would consider doing that, but I do not consider this to be a legal solution for this airplane.

This isn't an aircraft mfg. alteration. This would be okay to do. It's  only an adjustment. The old spacer measurement was 7mm and now the new ones are 8mm. 1mm won't hurt anything, but may cure his issue. You can always go back to 8mm if it doesn't work. It's  just a spacer that can be had almost anywhere.
