I was wondering if anyone has upgrades the older fuel system to the newer banjo style fuel distro block with return line. Has anyone made there own distro block with any success?

My current fuel lines come out of the pump and splits with a Tee to each carb. It Tee's again to a fuel pressure sensor mounted to the firewall.

I priced out the parts from CPS and it gets spendy fast. Is there a place to by one as a unit or are you guys using an after market distro block with any luck? I'd like to install a return line to the gasculator or header tank.

Thank you in advance for any advice you might provide.

You could install another Tee with one end soldered shut then drilled .014"  for the orifice into a return line to a header tank. Then attach to the balance tube so that it is the highest point so that any bubbles/vapor exit into the return line.

Thank you Garrett. I have found a nice fuel distro block I can use. It has a 1/8 NPT on the top. I can make a restrictor port out of a brass barb fitting as you mentioned to go back to the header. Should work. Good call on attaching it to the crossover tube as a high point.

    This really helped. Thanks again

I intend to use this fuel distribution block on my plane. (see the pic.) The fuel inlet is on a 3/8 "line with an AN-6 adapter. the lines to the carburetors are in An-4, 1/4" diameter. Same thing for the return line to my fuel tanks but with a brass restrictor at the outlet of the distribution block. An 1/8 "outlet on the top with a 1/4 line to my fuel pressure block installed on the firewall.

    Any comments are welcome.

You may want to fire sleeve all fuel lines lest you experience vapor lock.

Thanks for posting this description with photos.  Exactly the set up I have been looking for in order to clean up the fuel delivery and add the fuel return line.  Very nice set up.

If you don't me asking- what type of brass restrictor did you place in the fuel return fitting?

    Thanks, and safe flying.
