Hi Ken Ryan and Xing Wang and everybody,
There is an indentation mark on one face of the "nut" shape which lines up with the direction of the hole on the side of the section of the nipple going into the airbox. If this hole is facing the turbo airflow to activate a richer air / fuel mix, then that may be the answer. The presence of the indicator mark might suggest that the orientation of the hole in the turbo airflow is of importance. I am not sure whether it is pressure or vacuum is being measured at the transducer connected to this nipple. Looking forward to learning how to set this nipple and why it is important. Thanks for the replies to date. John.

The mark is very clear and position must towards downward towards turbocharger.
There is chucknut, you can adjust nipples towards downward ? position.
