Earlier this year I did the upgrade to add the spray nozzle after my stator failed. This required replacing the sprag clutch housing and ignition housing as well. I remember thinking how easy it would be to have the nozzle clog with Loctite and I was very careful, I even clocked the nozzle port to the 9 O'clock position when installing it, thinking that horizontal would be best for preventing any possible flow into the nozzle or crankshaft oil port. I kept thinking I will never know if this thing works, and that I would have to assume that if the stator did not fail then it's working! Interesting that Rotax is taking the same approach by saying you are fine if the stator has already survived 200 hours. I'm happy they are addressing this with a flow test, it should be a routine step in the retrofit procedure also.

We must still have the old system as our engine serial number is below the listed S/N. We've got close to 150 trouble free hours on our engine now.

“A labor credit will be provided for work performed by a technician with current applicable iRMT rating.”
Might there be a directory of iRMT rated technicians? I am in the Houston area. This exercise is out of my league.

how does this problem manefest itself ? I have a 912is in the affected serial number range but have 200 run-time hours. Based on the SB, I should be out of the woods, but I want to monitor in the event it occurs after 200 hours. Also, is either the inspection or repair covered under RotaxCare warranty?
thanks in advance,
Harry
