The main reason they haven't done it is that Rotax considers this Heavy Maint. level training. It isn't at the Service or Line maint. level where the majority of the people work. Unless you are a Repair Center then Rotax believes that this isn't something someone is proficient enough at for a one time
on-line type class. You can make mistakes doing this and that could cause you problems.

These carbs are not rocket science, they're on many motorbikes and most of us 912/4 users have to deal with them at some time or another. So a video would help us not make the mistakes you talk about.
Many of us don't have easy access to a repair centre (nor do we have easy access to pay them).

I've taken mine apart a number of times and found a blocked slow running jet, split diaphragm and overtightened float bowl and I'm not a super mechanic, I simply found lots of different articles (mostly on motorbike website) dealing with these carbs and took it slowly from there.
I think such a video would be of great help especially for the 914 users because there appears to be a few special features on these carbs when they are turbocharged.
    Please re consider this request.

    Hi Mike,

I'm with you on your sentiment, but I'm just stating what Rotax has stood by for years. I have and I know others have even ask for the procedure to get moved down to at least the Line Maint. class. I don't work for Rotax, I'm just a plain guy like the rest of us here.
