Hi All,

In my last flight I observed EGT's higher on my FLYdat. EGT1 890, EGT2 850, EGT3 880 and EGT4 890. After landing I checked for connection and found ok. I started with carbs cleaning, synchronization, lean/rich mixture, carb needle position, EGT's position on exhaust etc. After doing all this I made a ground run and found all the EGT's satisfactory now around 810 Deg.C on average.

During my research I checked for EGT type which I found K type thermocouple. I looked for temperature curve against Millivolts in installation manual of rotax 912/914 engine but couldn't found anything like oil temperature curve, CHT curve, oil pressure curve etc. in installation manual. From the website www.pyromation.com/Downloads/Data/emfk_c.pdf I found a chart Temperature Vs Millivolts for K type thermocouple. As per this chart against 0 millivolts, thermocouple read out shall be 0 Deg.C. I applied 0 millivolt to the EGT1 port of FLYdat and FLYdat displayed 33 Deg. C. I checked this for all EGT's 1 2 3 4. Changed the port from 1 to 2 on FLYdat. Checked this on another FLYdat as well. But found exactly the similar output. So I came to the conclusion that FLYdat is reading 33 Deg. C higher than actual as per the chart attached with this topic. So now I don't know that either FLYdat has built in error or the chart for K type thermocouple I am using for reference is not correct. How can I get Temp. Vs millivolt chart or graph for EGT's I am using with my FLYdat.

P.S I am using EGT sensor with my FLYdat recommended by Rotax in there IPC and also compatible with FLYdat. Do not remember part No yet.
