Yeah you're battery may be weak. Consider preheating the engine, warm motors crank and start much faster. Watch the Rotax video on starting a cold soaked engine versus a preheated engine. I myself use preheat when below 50 degrees and have noticed a big difference.

It's supposed to get to the 50s today (though it was in the 30s all night), so I'll give it a show with a fully-charged battery. maybe I'll get there early and run the propane heater in the hangar to get it warmed up beforehand.

I should have asked what year your engine is? It is possible it could be the ignition modules. You could try once putting an ice pack around the modules for 30 minutes and give it a try.

The engine is about 3 years old. But only was first run last October and it's been running perfectly since that time.
The issue you mentioned with the idle jets, is there a way to prevent that from happening?
