    Bill - I plan to check the timing on my fuel pressures tomorrow.

    Malcolm - What kind of fuel are you using?

    I found this tip in the Installation Manual:

    73-00-00 - Page 13:  In case of supply problems of the fuel pump, the fuel tank should be emptied and filled with AVGAS. If the problem does not occur at the next test (with AVGAS), then this is a sign of formation of vapor bubbles when using MOGAS (or auto fuel).

    We are using UL91. - an unleaded aviation fuel

    Temperatures don't get that high in the UK it's been below 10'C (50'F)

    We will try measuring Fuel Pressure before, during and after starting

    at the weekend.

    Flew tonight.  Engine started right up and died 2 seconds later.  2nd attempt started and ran fine.  Same issue as always.

    Fuel pressures went into the green (3 bar) within 5 sec.  They also dropped when the pumps were deactivated in the same time frame.  Nothing unusual there.

    Yes, fuel pressure is in the green and stable before the first start of the day.

    Daytime temps here in Atlanta have not been above 60 degrees for the last few months so I doubt outdoor temp is a factor.

    * PS - I exclusively use 93 e-free MOGAS.

    Sorry for being nitpicky but, how long were the fuel pumps running at pressure before the first start attempt.

    The devil is in the details, and I can't see a thing from a thousand miles away.wink

    Last night I gave it 10 seconds or so.  I've tried it after running the pumps for 30+ seconds with the same result.

    Looking forward to hearing the results of Malcolm's ECU swap test...
